Minister: Britain could send troops to Congo

Britain's Africa minister said Saturday that the U.K. could send troops to Congo if a fragile cease-fire between rebel fighters and the army fails.

Mark Malloch-Brown said Britain has a contingency plan to deploy forces to bolster the efforts of United Nations peacekeepers if violence escalates.

Foreign ministers from Britain and France are holding talks in the region following fierce fighting between the army and Laurent Nkunda's rebel movement, some of the worst violence in the Central African nation in years.

Town maintained their pressure and continued to make chances, before Jordan Lambert restored parity, eluding his marker to head home from a viciously struck free kick.

Both sides fought hard to break the deadlock but the scores remained level after normal …

"You can have no pride as a short woman in politics," she said Friday afternoon as she climbed on a stack of telephone books to begin her speech.

The incident illustrates Molinari's attitude about her party: It's a great place for women, but it could use a few adjustments.

Molinari spoke at the New York State Republican Committee meeting to urge her …
