NSW: Sydney bushfire contained

SYDNEY, Dec 12 AAP - A bushfire that had threatened properties in Sydney's west has
been contained overnight.

More than 300 firefighters worked to control the blaze that ripped through 300 hectares
at Cranebrook.

Rural Fire Service spokesman Cameron Wade said today a number of sheds were destroyed
by fire, and there were also some stock losses. "But the fire is fully contained now,"

Mr Wade said.

A lightning strike started the fire yesterday.
